Statement Analysis Investigating Deception© -SAID  8 Hours
Participants gain insights into detecting signs of deception using information from actual cases, including
capital murder cases.   Jill McAfee gives an abbreviated introduction to SAID©, Statement Analysis Investigating
Deception, concentrating on the most important concepts in statements.  By using someone’s own words, SAID
helps you detect deception in any verbal or written communication. You can determine whether the subject is
concealing information, providing false information, omitting information and other important factors indicating
truthful or deceptive statements.

Blood Stain Pattern Analysis Overview - 8 Hours
This is an introductory course in Bloodstain Pattern Analysis that explores the discipline from a practical, real
world standpoint.   Through case studies, lecture and hands-on examination, participants develop the skills to
identify and interpret bloodstain characteristics that can be used to determine what happened or what
did not happen within the context of a violent crime.

Equivocal Death Investigations - 8 Hours
Retired Texas Ranger and now Professor G. W. Hildebrand, is a profiler trained by the F.B.I. who has consulted
on over 2500 cases including the Texas 7 during the investigation.  Professor Hildebrand is the Department
Chair for the Criminal Justice Department of Austin Community College.  Equivocal death investigations are
those where the cause of death is questionable or suspicious.  These deaths may resemble suicides, accidents
or deaths from natural causes.  Facts of the cases may appear misleading or staged.  This course assists
participants in determining what happened with hard hitting cases.  FEE - $350.00.  See www.
